Abstract: First record of the tapeworm H. horrida (Linstow, 1901) in Hungary from Microtinae. Pitymys subterraneus was found to be a new host for H. horrida. The description of the authors material, with the data on invasion extensity and intensity, as well as the systematic and taxonomic status of the species, are given.
