Abstract: A number of 797 beetles representing the families Carabidae, Scarabaeidae, Tenebrionidae and Histeridae were examined externally and internally for nematode parasites. Nematode larvae isolated were reared on culture media to the adult stage for identification. 268 beetles (33.6 %) were found infested by nematodes. Only external infestation was noted. Seven nematode species representing four families were identified, fully described and also their possible adverse effect to the host was discussed.
