Abstract: Results of the examination in Hungary of 120 wild ruminants (57 red deers, 52 fallow deers, 9 deers and 2 moufflons) for the occurrence of nasal throat bot fly larvae are presented. The incidence of Cephenemyia auribarbis Meigen, 1824, C. stimulator Clark, 1815 and the larvae of Pharyngomyia picta Meigen, 1824, are reported for the first time from Hungary. The moufflon proved to be a new host of Ph. picta. Larvae of C. auribarbis and Ph. picta were found in 90.5 and 5.7 % of red deers and in 81.0 and 13.4 % of fallow deers, respectively.
