Abstract: Fifty cats were examined. Two of them had died due to parasitic infestation with severe clinical manifestations, while the rest was investigated after-extermination. Parasites belonging to the following genera were recorded: Metagonimus, Taenia, Dipylidium, Ancylostoma, Toxascaris, Toxocara, Aelurostrongylus and Physaloptera. Neonatal cats were free of worms. Toxascaris occurred in two cats under one year of age. Toxocara was found in a total of 25 cats, 11/17, 10/16 and 4/11 in the respective age groups of up to 3 months, from 3 to 12 months and older than 12 months. In those two young cats died in severe symptoms of pulmonal and gastrointestinal disorders, infestations with Aelurostrongylus and Physaloptera were demonstrated.
