Abstract: The second part of the Mallophaga collection kept in the Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum was the subject of the present study. Presented are the results of ectoparasitological investigations carried out on 21 specimens from 18 bird species belonging to 7 orders as well as on 6 specimens from 5 mammalian species of 2 orders. From these host animals had been collected in total 359 Mallophaga specimens; they represent 27 species (one of them subspecies) from 18 genera. 4 species proved to be new to the fauna of Hungary: Actornithophilus totani (Schrank, 1803), Trinoton nyrocae Eichler, 1943, Quadraceps bicuspis (Nitzsch, 1874), Quadraceps ochropi (Denny, 1842).
