Abstract: An attempt to treat with Mebenvet a natural infestation of mouse stock with Aspiculuris tetraptera was ineffective. Albendazole, another benzimidazole derivate, not yet marketed, was kindly rendered at our disposal by the CHINOIN Pharmaceutical and Chemical Works Ltd., Budapest, Hungary. Based on acute toxicity studies and coprological control examinations, the mouse stock treated with 200 mg/kg albendazole for 2 days was freed from worms and ova.
