Abstract: Experiences gained by rearing of Musca osiris Wiedemann, 1830 (a dipterous pest of cattle and sheep in Hungary) are published with a description of immature instars and imagos, and with autecological data; an adaptation of the topical applications method is attempted for a future use of M. osiris imagos in susceptibility tests.
