Abstract: In this study a survey is given of all the hitherto described species of the genus Andrya and Paranoplocephala. Critical comments on all the species are included. There is an identification key to the species at the end of each chapter. The diagnosis of the genera Andrya and Paranoplocephala are emended, aswell as the criteria for the identification of the species are analysed. The generic composition of the subfamily Monieziinae is evaluated.
