Abstract: In the axenic culture of Trichomonas vaginalis Donne, 1836 bipartitions were continuously observed at a steady temperature of 36°C. Time-lapse live photographs with a phase-contrast microscope and flash-light were taken of the process. Life observations show that during the mitosis of the parasites the division of caryomastigonts and plasmotomy take place at considerably long intervals.
