Abstract: The author gives a short preliminary report on the fauna of Osztramos, Locality 7,
characterized by typical Upper Pliocene-Lowest Pleistocene microfaunistic elements (Episoriculus gibberodon, Petényiella cf. Gracilis, Miomys stehlini, Baranomys lóczyi etc.) found together with the hitherto known oldest Lemmus-remains in Europe. He deals with the stratigraphical and climatical signification of the fossil material of the locality.Subject: zoology
