Abstract: In commemoration of Prof. Dionysyo Klobusitzky (1900-1974) author gives short biography of the Hungarian-born late member of the Brasilian Academy of Sciences. In the twenties and thirties he succeeded in the study of blood-coagulation, but after settling in Brasilia as the member of the scientific staff of the famous Butantan Institut in Sao Paolo made great successes in the investigation of the biochemical characteristics of the venom from a number of South American snakes. The biography is supplemented by the full list of Klobusitzky's scientific papers.
