Abstract: Some anatomical remarks about the anatomy of the Liberian pygmy hippopotamus (Choreopsis liberiensis Morton, 1849) are given. The morphological characteristics of those of the infraorder Suina. They demonstrate the close phylogenetical relationship between these different forms of Suiform mammals. The anatomy of the stomach reveals a more primitive structure than that of the Hippopotamus.
