Abstract: Quantitatively evaluable morphological characters of six snake species living in Switzerland (Coluber viridiflavus, Coronella austriaca, Natrix natrix, N. tessellata, Vipera berus and V. aspis) have been analysed by using several statistical methods. The investigations and calculations resulted in elucidating some of the taxonomical problems existing in the microsystematics of the above mentioned snake species.Subject: zoology
