Abstract: The description of a male snake having eyes of different sizes is given. The enlarged eye of the ring side has a pathologically altered structure. Inspite of the enlarged eye orbita of the right side the skull of this specimen does not show the characteristic feature of that of Vipera ursinii macrops Méhely, which has evolutionarily enlarged eyes.
