Abstract: The adopted morphological analysis makes it possible to numerically determine the outlines, thus, the problem of exact subspecific separation has been solved. Populations of Cyprois marginata, living under various ecological conditions have been compared. The differences between the means of the two populations are strikingly small. Nevertheless, these differences show a regularity, thus it is beyond doubt that they should occur out of spontaneity of individual variability, or of errors of measurement? Consequently, they clearly reflect the differences existing in reality between the two populations.
