Abstract: Faunistical data of 120 species of Tenebrionidae (Coleoptera) collected in Afghanistan by W. Böckeler in 1971-1973. 4 new species (Prosodes boeckeleri sp. n., Platynoscelis ghorana sp. n., P. paktiana sp. n., P. gigantea sp. n.), 8 new subspecies (Mesostena gracilicornis boeckeleri ssp. n., Trachyderma grandis adriani ssp. n., Trigonoscelis gemmulata kabulensis ssp. n., Trachyderma grandis adriani ssp. n., T. persea farahense ssp. n., Pimelia semenovi balkahensis ssp. n., P. tricostata paktiana ssp. n., P. tricostata mukurensis ssp. n.), and 5 species new to the fauna of Afghanistan.
