Abstract: Examinations of the bodies and elytra of beetles collected in Australia and New-Guinea resulted in the discovery of 6 new mite species. The species Histiostoma australiense sp. n., H. janosi, sp. n., H. foveosimile sp. n., and Scolianoetus faini sp. n. belong sp. n. in the order Tarsonemida.
