Abstract: Topotypic exemplars of Blaps transversimsulcata Ball. were examined. B. transversimsulcata rudesculpta Sem. et Bog. 1936 proved to be a junior synonym of B. t. transversimsulcata Ball. 1878. A key is given for B. transversimsulcata Ball. (together with its subspecies: B. t. meandroides ssp. n.) B. meander Kraatz and B. ballioni sp. n.
