Abstract: Thanks to study of 7 specimens (2 of them belonging to the type-series) and to the data given in the bibliography, the description of the subspecies (Euscorpius carpathicus ssp. canestrinii Fanz.) from Sardinia could be completed. The formula concerning the number and position of the trichobothria on the external side of the forearm (tibia), characterizing the subspecies are noted. The asymmetry in the number of pectinal teeth as in the number of trichobothria on the forearm is to be taken into account by the classifier.
