Abstract: Anthystrix gen. n. is proposed for Pria squamosa Grouvelle. The new genus is characterized by the following features: compact 5-segmented male antenal club surpassing the combined length of preceding segments, a pair of arc-like impressions on the last abdominal sternite, trapezium-like middle and hind tibiae and simple tarsal claws not toothed at basis.
