Abstract: A revision is given of 17 species of Taphoxenus s. l. described by A. Jedlička, with an account of all type-material on which the names are based; 14 new synonymies are established; Taphoxenus talyschensis Jedlicka is downgraded to a subspecies of T. cellarum Adams.
