Abstract: 12 new species are described from Papua New Guinea. With the exception of 1 species (Stilicoderus kiloloensis) the remaning 11 species are in the subfamily Tachyporinae: Mycetoporus (3), Bolitobius (1), Coproporus (7). Types of species are placed in the collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum and 4 in the British Museum (Natural History) and also in my own collection. Collectors were J. Balogh. I. Loksa, L. Biró and Dr. R. Hornabrook (New Zealand).
