Abstract: Taxonomic position of the subfamily Ceutorhychinae is evaluated. The genera of Ceutorhynchinae are arranged in 9 tribes, Egriini and Lioxyonyxini are described as new tribes. Keys fro the tribes, for the genera within Lioxyonyxini and Egriini, for the species of the genera Tricholioxyonyx gen. n. and Egriodes were constructed. The following new taxa are erected: Amicroplontus gen. n., Ericomicrelus gen. n., Eucoeliodinus gen. n., Exocoeliodes gen. n., Hemilioxyonyx gen. n., Hypegrius gen n., Neocoeliodes gen. n., Oplitoxyonyx gen. n., Syngregrius gen. n., Tricholioxyonyx gen. n., Afrocyphesonus subgen. N. (Within Cyphosenus Schultze), Lioxyonyx endroedii sp. n., L. plumipes sp. n., Micrelus saetiger sp. n.New synonyms were established: Ceutorhynchini Thomson, 1859 = Oxyonyxini Hoffmann, 1959, jun. Syn.; Egrius Pascoe, 1865 = Hustacheoxyonyx Hoffmann, 1956, jun syn. Catalogue is given for the tribes Lioxyonyxini, Ceutorhynchini and Egriini.
