Abstract: A breeding bird community in a beech wood habitat was censused by different types of methods (mapping technique, strip method, strip method with tape-recorder, point counts). The study plot was situated in the Pilis Mountains about 30 km NW of Budapest. The accuracy of the methods is compared with the help of community structure parameters (species richness, density, diversity and eveness).Subject: ecology
