Abstract: A population of black rats was found at Csokonyavisonta, southern Hungary in October 1980. External and cranial measurements and weights of inner organs are tabulated and two other unpublished records are given. The material of Rattus rattus from central Europe deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum.
