Abstract: The number of species of Psocoptera known from Hungary is augmented from 25 to 50, what may correspond to about half of the total number of psocoid species living in this country. The fauna is essentially Central European with some additional southern or eastern elements as Liposcelis palatinus, L. sculpitilis, Lachesilla bernardi, L. tanaidana, Ectopsocopis xerophylla and Trichopsocorus dalii. The occurence of two very rare species, Mesopsocus helveticus and Trichadenotecnum innuptum, in Hungary which until now had only been known from Switzerland in Europe, is also remarkable.Subject: entomology
