Abstract: A list is given of material studied, including new records. the aedagus of S. kiloloensis (Last) is figured for the first time; S. loksai sp. n., S. wauensis sp. n., S. maritimus sp. n. and S. madangensis sp. n. are described, and a plate of figures is given of the aedeagi of the nine species now belonging to the New Guinea hieroglyphus group.
