Abstract: A key to a part of the species of the glomeratus-group tibialis- and brevicornis-subgroups, comprising 36 Apanteles species (i.e.) 27 European, 1 East Palearctic and 8 Nearctic species) is given. Original type-examinations revealed the following new synonymies: 1. Microgaster analis Nees, 1834 = A. leucaniae Wilkinson, 1937, syn. n.; 2. Apanteles kariyai Watanabe, 1937 = A. purgatus Telenga, 1955, syn. n. 3. Apanteles memnon Nixon, 1974 = A. acutivalvis Balevski, 1980, syn. n. 4. Apanteles specularis Szépligeti, 1896 = A. bulgaricus Balevski, 1980, syn. n. 5. Apanteles telengai Tobias, 1972 = A. amabilis Nixon, 1974 syn. n. 6. Apanteles tenebrosus Wesmael, 1837 = A. genalis Tobias, 1964, syn. n. 78. Apanteles villanus Reinhard, 1880 = A. rubroides Papp, 1971 syn. n. All these species are enumerated in alphabetical order within their respective subspecies-groups. Neotype designation for the species Microgaster analis Nees, 1834 and Microgaster ruficrus Haliday, 1834.
