Abstract: Type specimens of Flatidae in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest) were examined in connection with research on species named by Brancsik and Melichar. The genital characters of 19 holotype, lectotype or plesiotype males are illustrated. New synonymy: Melicharia obtusangula distant, a junior synonym of Ormenis conflicta Melichar. New combination: Flatoides serenus Melichar transferred to Dendrona Melichar.
