Abstract: A study of an assemblage (72 taxa) of Sericini from Taiwan (Republic of China) resulted in five new combinations and 12 new synonymies: Eumaladera latitibia (N omura , 1974) comb. n., Eumaladera nitididorsis (K obayashi , 1991) comb. n., Microserica fukiensis (F rey , 1972) comb. n. (= Microserica inornata N omura , 1974, syn. n.), Cephaloserica parva M oser , 1908 (= Cephaloserica kojimai M iyake , 1991, syn. n.), Pachyserica nantouensis K obayashi et Yu , 1993 (= Pachyserica similis K obayashi et Yu , 1993, syn. n.), Pachyserica pulvinosa (F rey , 1972) comb. n. (= Serica albosquamosa F rey , 1972, syn. n.; = Pachyserica taiwana N omura , 1974, syn. n.), Paramadera kiyoyamai N omura , 1974 (= Paramadera babai K obayashi , 1991, syn. n.), Microserica nitidipyga N omura , 1974 (= Gastroserica formosana K obayashi , 1991, syn. n.), Trioserica macrophthalma (M oser, 1918) comb. n. (= Selaserica rufocastanea K obayashi , 1980, syn. n.), Serica formosana M oser , 1915 (=Maladera curvifemora N omura , 1974, syn. n., = Maladera brevipilosa K obayashi , 1985, syn. n.), Paramaladera aserrata K obayashi et N omura , 1979 (= Paramaladera cariniprinceps K obayashi et N omura , 1979, syn. n.; = Paramaladera wulaiana K obayashi , 1980, syn. n.). New distributional data are given. Six new species are described: Taiwanoserica chunlinlii sp. n., Neosericania habonensis sp. n., Trichomaladera infortunata sp. n., Eumaladera paralatitibia sp. n., Eumaladera puliensis sp. n., Eumaladera fushanica sp. n. Maladera satoi (N iijima et K inoshita , 1927) comb. n. is removed from synonymy with Maladera invenusta (M oser , 1918). Lectotype of Cephaloserica parva M oser , 1908 is designated. Trioserica lepichaeta M oser , 1922 is fixed as type species of Trioserica M oser , 1922.
