Abstract: Hydroptilid Leucotrichiini tribe is limited to the New World. Set aside material
collected in the Neotropical Realm during the last 60 years is elaborated, identified and
described in this paper. Besides routine template description of specimens preserved in
alcohol, the coloration of field pinned examples is also described. Totally 49 new species in
the Leucotrichiini tribe of the hydroptilid genera Abtrichia MOSELY, 1939 (2 spp.),
AcostatrichiaMOSELY, 1939 (12 spp.), Alisotrichia FLINT, 1964 (1 sp.), Anchitrichia FLINT,
1970 (4 spp.), Ascotrichia FLINT, 1983 (1 sp.), Betrichia MOSELY, 1939 (2 spp.), Ceratotrichia
FLINT, 1992 (2 spp.), Zumatrichia MOSELY, 1937 (25 spp.) are described and illustrated.
