Abstract: Irma Allodiatoris originally graduated as a secondary school teacher, but later she attained
a PhD in anthropology, zoology and geology. She worked as librarian, anthropologist and
bibliographer. Allodiatoris established the History of Natural Science Collection in the Natural
History Museum. She curated and enriched this Collection for 28 years. In addition, she created
the bibliography of Hungarian anthropology from the beginnings until 1952. Also she wrote the
bibliography of the zoology of the Carpathian Basin for the fi rst quarter of the 20th century. Irma
Allodiatoris gained eternal merit during those 47 years while she was working in the Hungarian
