Abstract: Bhujnerita n. gen. is the first new gastropod genus that has been established during the exploration of the Jurassic faunas from Kachchh. Beside this, Bhujnerita n. gen. is one of the few genera that seem to be endemic within the Ethiopian Faunal Province. In the family Neritidae, Bhujnerita n. gen. belong to the group of those non-limpet shaped forms which have an inner lip plate that partially closes the aperture. The type species is also new: B. bhattii n. sp.
