Abstract: The population dynamics of the zooplankton species common in fishponds in Hungary, Brachionus calyciflorus (Pallas), Asplanchna priodonta (Gosse), A. brightwelli (Gosse), Moina brachiata (Jurine) and Daphnia magna (Straus), was examined. Under less favourable temperature and nourishment conditions the populations of the various zooplankton species occur with decreasing density, and the gradation peak was observed some days later. The population biological parameters necessary for the selective plankton preparation technology set up at the Tempered Watered Fish-breeding Farm of Százhalombatta have been established.Journal: Miscellanea zoologica hungaricaJournal abbreviation: Miscnea zool. hung.ISSN: 0230-9017Publisher: Múzsák Közművelődési Kiadó, BudapestEditor(s): Murai, É., Forró, L., Pintér, L. & Nemes, I.
