Abstract: Trends and significant differences (S.D.) concerning the mean values of eleven anatomical characteristics of the sequence of leaves and the matrix arrangement and evaluation of the S.Ds. The trend of mean values and S.Ds. (with some exceptions) support the Zalensky law. The frequency of S.Ds. increases upward on the stem. On the basis of investigations for 2 years the stoma numbers on the underside of leaves and thickness of the palisade parenchyma layer are subjected more to genetical, while other three rather to ecological, effects.
