Abstract: The authors have studied the distribution, diversity and equitability of three species of Gentiana and Gentianella ciliata in relation to different factor gradients (altitude, precipitation and habitat) and flowering time. Maximum and minimum, both values of diversity are observed in G. cruciata, maximum for altitude and minimum for habitat factor. In case of equitability, highest value has been observed in G. cruciata for habitat factor while lowest value in G. asclepiadea for precipitation. For the equitability calculated in relation to the highest number of each factor gradient, also, we find different values in different species in habitat and altitude gradients. In flowering time highest value has been found in G. pneumonanthe and lowest in G. asclepiadea.
