Abstract: The investigated area is situated in central Hungary, in the neighbourhood of Szabadszállás and Fülöpszállás villages. The natural vascular flora - including the ruderals and weeds - was studied on the basis of the author's collections and coenological mappings in the years 1977-78. The composition of the flora was analysed according to the life-form, coenological and phytogeographical characters of the species then by comparing the corresponding distributions of the Hungarian flora, an attempt is made at phytogeographical and historical characterizing of the protected area.
