Abstract: Both species are grown in submountain and mountain regions in relative tall-grass communities and in edge of the Fagus silvatica forests, only the G. a. var. paludosa occur in wet meadow in the lowland, on soils, developed on limestone or andesite baserock. The species extending to the N-W-part of the Hungarian Central Mountain as refugium territories from the higher Carpathian Basin out of the investigated
area. Diversity values higher in G. a. ssp. fatrae than in G. l. according to altitude, habitat and baserock.Subject: botany
