Abstract: Cross sections of the pinnule in Polystichum setiferum (Forsk.) Woynar revealed an upper epidermis, a chlorophyllaceous mesophyll and a lower epidermis. Within the homogeneous mesophyll veins are present. Between the lower epidermal cells, stomata occur. In the epidermal cells chloroplasts are present.
