Abstract: Phytosociological study of Linum dolomiticum habitat has been carried out based on 135 relevés on the complete area of distribution. The habitat encompasses the following plant communities: Seseli leucospermi-Festucetum pallentis, Stipo eriocauli-Festucetum pallentis, Seseli leucospermi-Brome-tum pannonici, Festuco pallenti-Brometum pannonici and several transitions and degraded forms of these communities. These grasslands in part belong to the herb layer of the Pannonian karst white oak low woods. The vegetation was analysed statistically according to life form, phytogeographical area, phytosociological character, social behaviour type and ecological indicator values (preference categories) of the species. The habitat of Linum dolomiticum may be characterised by several types of coenotones and ecotones. With 17 tables and 2 figures.
