Abstract: During a brief study trip to document Sphagnum habitats on two sites of Mt Voras in Central Macedonia, North Greece, our collections revealed a number of new records. Three taxa (Ditrichum pusillum, Polytrichum commune var. perigoniale, and Sphagnum angustifolium) are first recorded in Greece. Areas covered with Sphagnum species are rare in the country and these represent the southern distribution limit of this habitat type so relevant in more northerly areas of Europe.
