Abstract: This account is part of a series discussing particular collections of the Jeney Herbarium acquired by the Hungarian Natural History Museum in 2006. The 72 specimens of Gymnosperms represent 43 species, collected by Endre Jeney between 1954 and 2001 mostly in present-day Hungary (60 specimens) and other countries (7 from within and 7 from outside historical Hungary). The range of Gymnosperm taxa in his herbarium is a reflection of the limited number of (mainly coniferous) species occurring naturally in Hungary today, as opposed to the number of introduced ones. Besides the coniferous specimens routinely collected by Jeney, there are samples from several notable conifers, planted with in the past two centuries, which are precious members of the cultivated flora of the region and their specimens are a valuable addition to our holdings of Gymnosperms. Keywords: herbarium, conifers, Jeney, Gymnosperms
