Abstract: The list of species and infraspecific taxa of the Chamaecytisus genus published validly or invalidly in various literature sources was compiled and evaluated. The correct place and reference of the protologue as well as legitimacy and status of the names are given for 786 names, including 347 basionyms (261 legitimate), and 439 new combinations (352 legitimate).
